Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) is the surgical specialty of dentistry that concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of aesthetic and functional conditions, defects, and injuries of the mouth, teeth, jaws and face.
After completing dental school, OMS’s must complete an additional four to six years of hospital-based surgical residency training. This training involves the OMS resident functioning as a medical resident on the following services: internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, emergency medicine as well as others. Because of this training Dr. Stastny is able to provide the following services for his patients.
