Teeth In A Day Q&A

What is Teeth-In-A-Day?

Teeth-In-A-Day uses 3-D radiographic technology to design a complete set of upper or lower teeth that attach to four dental implants. They offer an effective alternative to removable dentures.

Who is a candidate for Teeth-In-A-Day?

Anyone unhappy with their current teeth is a potential candidate for Teeth-In-A-Day. If you know you’re going to lose your teeth soon, have already lost them, and wear loose-fitting dentures or partials, Teeth-In-A-Day may be an answer. If you have a tooth infection, cavities, or gum disease, you may also benefit from Teeth-In-A-Day.

Although dental implants still require good oral hygiene and bone to support them this procedure often eliminates the need for bone grafting.  Dr. Stastny can help evaluate if you are a good candidate for this procedure.

What are the benefits of Teeth-In-A-Day?

With Teeth-In-A-Day, all the work is done in one procedure, so you never have to go without teeth. Unlike other dental methods, you don’t need to wait to have your teeth attached to the implant. Other benefits include:

  • They’re permanent; no need to remove your teeth for cleaning
  • No slipping when you eat or speak
  • They look and feel natural, matching your existing teeth
  • Minimal discomfort

What is the process for getting Teeth-In-A-Day?

There different options for Teeth-in-a-Day like the Nobel All-on-4, Zimmer Biomet Diem2, and the Trefoil.  Dr. Stastny first completes a thorough examination to assess your condition. Then he takes a 3-D CT, also known as a Cone Beam CT to determine where your bone is strongest, thus able to provide the most stability.  Dr. Stastny will work with your restorative dentist and the dental lab to develop a treatment plan for you based on the images provided in the CBCT. Then the procedure that usually includes removal of teeth, placement of implants and placement of the new fixed teeth is completed all at the same time.  This is possible because of CBCT planning and the titanium supported new teeth.
